Hi everyone, happy new week! I hope you're all doing fantastic. Thanks again for stopping by the blog and checking in on me. Last week was a bit of a mixed bag with some highs and lows. The lows mostly hit towards the end of the week, but the weekend had some fun moments that really lifted my spirits.
I started the week off great with my morning walks, but I fell off track in the last couple of days.
One of the highlights was going wine tasting with a spontaneous guest from the week before, which was super fun! (3 extremely impulsive and exciting outings! we like that )The next day, we planned to go on the board walk , but East Coast weather had other plans with its spotty rain. So, we ended up at a bar instead, enjoying some drinks and food. It was a chill time. Lots of Espresso Martini

This week, I wasn’t great at taking care of my mental health. I felt really anxious and avoided phone calls, just wanting to be by myself. Whenever I need a bit of self-care, it's usually a sign that I didn’t listen to my body during the week. This definitely showed over the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday were particularly tough, especially since it was Father’s Day. I miss my dad every day, but this day felt heavier. I avoided social media to escape all the nostalgic posts about people celebrating their dads and partners. I just wasn’t in the right mental space for that .To any fathers reading, happy Father’s Day! ( Belated) This is my Hero everyone !!!

I'm working on not forcing and distracting my emotions but, taking a step back to understand my feelings.
All in all, I had a pretty good week. I don’t expect my weeks to be perfect, but I'm learning to process my emotions, which can be a lot. Mindfulness was a bit of a struggle this week, but I'm grateful for the clarity and the chance to reflect and improve.
I hope you had a beautiful week, a phenomenal weekend, and an amazing week ahead.

Lots of Smoochies ,
Aduke
