Chillin' with Change: A Week of Friends, Self-Love, and Going with the Flow

Hi everyone,

Thank you for coming back to the blog! You've been missed. This week was great—I had a wonderful time catching up with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. It was Jackie’s Surprise Birthday Party! Happy Birthday, Jackie! The birthday girl was looking good!!

Life can get a little chaotic, but always remember the importance of being there for your friends. It’s amazing to see that even the strongest friends need support because we all do.

I missed a few days of walks and internalized a lot of feelings these past few days . But I’m slowly getting back on track by meditating and doing what I need to do. Overall, it was a good week. I noticed that everyone is going through something, empathy and patience should be exercised. I’m grateful for the discernment to understand when people need space to do what they need to do.

I’ve also been trying to balance phone calls and being there for friends and family, even if it slightly exceeded my usual threshold. ( Working on boundaries )

Another thing I noticed is that I’ve been grinding my teeth more. My mouth guard has become a necessity, not just an option, to help my mouth heal (a little TMI).

I realized that living in the flow of things reduces anxiety for me. As much as I like to control everything, sometimes it’s best to let the universe take over. Our perception is limited, but the possibilities around us are endless. This week, I’m trying to go with my gut and spirit, taking paths less traveled and embracing new perspectives.

I listened to an audiobook on YouTube called “Don't Believe Everything You Think.”

It’s a short but impactful read that emphasizes acting on thoughts before overthinking them. If certain thoughts are not for you, let them go! The brain often talks us out of things, but closing the gap between thinking and doing can be transformative.

Working on identifying ways to mend my relationship with myself and others is one of my highlights for this week. It’s important to recognize when we’re overextending ourselves for people who may not appreciate us in the same way. If a relationship or friendship is meant for you, it will come back to you. If not, it’s okay to let it go.

“If you love something so much let it go. If it comes back it was meant to be; if it doesn't it never was”

― Albert Schweitzer

Remember, you have to love yourself as much as you love others. You can’t show up for people in a way that makes you lose yourself. Those who truly care for you will accept you for who you are. Communication is key—there’s always a better way to convey a message without making the other person feel attacked. Haha, thoughts by Aduke!

I hope you all are having an amazing week. If you live on the East Coast, stay cool! The atmosphere is on broil out here!

Sending Plenty love and good vibes

Lots of smooches ,

Aduke.
